There is no pilot light to ignite provided the gas and water supplies are present and connected, merely opened. The water tap w j1t ignite the gas in the water heater and provide instant hot water. Closing the hot water tap will stop the water flow through the water heater which will cut off the gas supply and extinguish the flame.FULL SAFETY PROTECTION. Should the flame in the water heater be unexpectedly extinguished, the gas supply will be cut off and it will be necessary to close the hot water tap and reopen it to re-ignite the water heater.A water flow regulator protects the unit against pressures which shunts water through a by-pass valve should water pressure be too high.An over-heating protection device automatically cut off the gas supply in the event of overheating.LOW PRESSURE OPERATION The unit will operate on water pressure of0.02Mpa 0.03Mpa, which meets the disciplines of high buildings. The installation:The unit should be mounted at a height that places the flame observation window at approximately the same height as the human eye (150- t65cm above the floor)
The mounting wall should be of flame retardant material. Clear space of at least 30cm must be allowed on both sides of the unit if the mounting wall is not flame retardant, a flame retardant insulation board must be installed between the unit and the all. This insulation board must exceed the size of the unit by 10cm on Each Side as well as top and bottom.
The flue pipe must accommodate the size of the water heater’s chimney, and should be of flame retardant anti corrosive material, the flue pipe should be fitted with an H-type hood, or similar, to prevent blow back of burnt gases and the entry of rain into the flue.
The gas connections should be done with approved gas hosing(9.5mm) and secured at the joints with hose clamps. A suitable gas pressure regulator must be installed at the gas bottle (Not supplied) Install a gas open and close valve (Optional-no1 supplied) on the gas supply pipe just before it enters the water heater. This will facilitate the opening and closing of the gas supply to the unit. After making the gas connection, open the gas valves and check the connections for leaks. A liquid, soapy detergent is ideal for this purpose.
Water Supply connection. This may be effected with the rubber hose supplied or with steel or copper piping. It is advisable to install an isolation water valve into the water supply line to the water heater to facilitate maintenance or repair.
Hot water out connection proceed for (5) above
Battery The ignition system of the water heater is electric (3 volts). Install two #1 batteries (not provided) into the battery box and ensure that the polarity is correct. Close the battery box
YOUR WATER HEATER IS NOW READY FORUSEl Open the gas valve supplying gas to the unit. Open the water supply valve to the unit. Open the water out valve on the unit. The flame will ignite {observe’ through the flame window] and hot water will flow out of the unit.2.The water temperature selection knob adjusts the rate of flow of the waterthrough the unit and thus the temperature of the water. The faster water flows through the water heater, the less heat it will absorb and the cooler it will be. Adjust the temperature to the desired level.3.The flame adjustment knob allows you to increase the size of the flame and so the water temperature.4.Switch off the water out valve and water heater will instantly cease to operate.5 Caution: When the water heater is switched off, the water remaining in the unit is hot, and will gradually cool. If the water heater is re-ignited within a short time the hot water in the unit will be heated again resulting in abnormally hotter water. Check the water temperature with your hand initially to avoid scalding.SAFETY ADVICEI.PROPER INSTALLATION: The basic premise of safety is correct installation your water heater has built in safety feature to provide you with long-term safe operation Shoddy installation can negate some of these features. If you are not confident of your ability to properly install your water heater, have a qualified person do the installation.2.TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST FIRE. Do not place flammable goods orVolatile substances near the water heater3.TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST GAS LEAKAGE. When your water heater is not being used it is preferable to close the gas supply.4.Remember that the water heater heats the water with a flame and after use the outer cover could be hot. Do not touch it until it has cooled down.5.PAY ATTENTION TO VENTILATION. The water heater should be installed outside of your bathroom in a well-ventilated area. The water heater should be mounted on the inside of an external wall to allow for the fine installation. As an additional precaution an airbrick could be installed at floor level. Gas is heavier than air and any gas leak from an accidentally ruptured gas pipe will be able to flow to the outside before rising too high inside the building.6.HYGIENE. Do not drink the water has passed through the water heater.7.PREVENT ACCIDENTS If you detect a gas odor, close the gas supply and ventilate the room by opening windows, etc. DO NOT activate any electrical or operate the water heater (even though you have turned off the gas the electric ignitor in the water heater operated by water pressure end flow). If you are not sure that you can correct the gas leak call in a qualified person. If you detect a odor during use, off the water heater. Turn it off immediately and call a qualified person to attend to the problem.Leave a Reply, security, and energy efficiency. Gadgets like doorbell cameras and smart speakers are becoming more popular as they evolve and improve. The same is true for one of the most useful smart devices available today: the smart thermostat.
